We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! (I know we did!!) Can you believe it’s December already?! It’s the most wonderful time of the year and I can’t contain my love for this elegant vineyard wedding any longer! It’s the absolute sweetest!! I adore the pale pink and gold color scheme — it made for the most beautiful bouquets, bridesmaids dresses, and a seriously pretty cake. It’s practically a gilded masterpiece! I love the bride’s veil and her sparkly strapless wedding dress. And I think making their puppy their ring bearer was the cutest thing ever! The couple portraits Erin Forehand Photography captured are both sweet as well as pretty and perfectly captures their love story, which I love, obviously. 🙂

Elizabeth worked at American Eagle when she was a senior in high school. The store was going through a renovation at the time and in May of 2006 was able to move back to its original location in the mall. Her boss asked the employees to bring friends to help with the move, and one of them brought Clarke. Elizabeth will never forget the day she first laid eyes on Clarke. She was wearing a shirt that had two tennis racquets crossed on it that said meet your match.

In the fall, Elizabeth started at James Madison University, the very same school that Clarke attended. In November, Clarke and Elizabeth decided to take a day trip to Short Pump in Richmond, Virginia. It was an extremely rainy day. They sat in a Starbucks and talked for hours. She believes that they both knew they’d met the one they’d spend the rest of their lives with that day. Seven years later, she married her perfect match, soulmate, and best friend at CrossKeys Vineyard.

In July of 2012, Elizabeth was accepted into James Madison University’s Physician Assistant program. In celebration, Clarke planned a trip to Martha’s Vineyard. Elizabeth had never been, even though her family has a lot of history there. Her great grandfather, Zebulon Tilton, was a well-known sailor on the island, and her mom was born and grew up there. Along with riding bikes along the coastline, eating wonderful food, and lying on the beach, Elizabeth and Clarke were even able to meet up with some of Elizabeth’s family that she either hadn’t met yet or hadn’t seen in several years.

On August 2nd, while having dinner on the water, Clarke proposed. Life was like a fairytale for her in that moment. She was getting the opportunity to follow the career of her dreams and marry the most incredible man she had ever met! And when they got home from their trip, Clarke surprised Elizabeth once more by giving her an 8-week-old Labradoodle puppy. They named him Zebulon after her great grandfather, and nicknamed him Zeb. 🙂

{From the Bride} Our wedding day was incredible. I woke up in the morning to an email from Clarke titled “To My Wife”. In it were two recorded songs sung by Clarke. Thank goodness I checked my email before putting my makeup on!

Clarke and I had pretty big wedding parties of ten on each side, and wonderful parents, who made our day even more amazing. All the girls got ready together in the bridal suite at the vineyard. The groomsmen had shirts made for everyone, each with a different superhero. Clarke, of course, wore the Superman shirt.

We decided to do the first look down in the vines to calm our nerves. Best decision ever! My bridesmaids walked me down and hid in the vines to watch. When Clarke turned around, we embraced each other in tears. I don’t think we ever loved each other more than we did in that moment. Immediately afterwards, our Labradoodle came out to take family pictures.

During the ceremony, I used parts of my mother’s wedding dress to decorate around the altar. Surrounded by 180 of the most important people in our lives, our perfect dog as our ring bearer, and my adorable niece, Anna, Clarke and I officially became Mr. and Mrs. Argenbright!

The reception was beautiful. My father gave an extremely heartfelt speech that left no eyes dry. The food was delicious, the music was wonderful, and the night, honestly, was perfect.

At the end of the night, when Clarke and I turned the corner to run out to our car, I will never forget the sight of everyone holding their sparklers and smiling in pure joy for us. Clarke and I are extremely blessed to be surrounded by so much love.

Congratulations, Clarke and Elizabeth! Thank you so much for sharing your love story and wedding with us!! We wish you both so much love and laughter in the many years you’ll share together!!So many thanks to Erin Forehand Photography for sharing their very special day with us today!! xoxo
